For my international friends, currently in Australia we have a douche-bag by the name of Peter Madden (Christian Democrat) who has created an anti-gay marriage truck, with billboard sized signage, promoting “The Dark-Side of Same Sex Marriage.” The billboard shows a picture of a man and a boy, embracing, insinuating that homosexuality and pedophilia are linked. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve heard of more pedo’s in the church, than anywhere else in the world!
Now in my opinion this is a blatant hate campaign, but, never fear, the queers are here!
Some champions from Lismore, vandalised (or as I would say, cleaned up) the truck, with paint and glitter, promoting gay rights. We sure showed them the dark-side to promoting this kind of BS!
A big shout-out to these guys. I can’t believe we live in a world where this continues to happen.
The truck has since been cleaned up, and will make it’s next appearance for an anti-gay marriage rally, in Sydney on the 1st of April 2012. Anyone who wishes to join the counter-rally, be there at 3pm, Hyde Park.
Whether you see yourself as a protestor or not, if nothing else, at least stand up for YOURSELF, these people are vilifying YOU, so get out there and take action.
